SEO Audits
By the time search problems are visible, they have already cost something.
Why Have a Comprehensive SEO Audit?
In most cases, an SEO audit is triggered by a signal that something has changed.
Common catalysts include:
- A notable decline in organic traffic
- Slow growth despite ongoing effort
- Performance drops following a site update, migration, or CMS change.
Search issues rarely exist in isolation, especially within large and established digital ecosystems. A comprehensive SEO audit looks across the site, content, and underlying systems to identify potential risk and untapped opportunities.
Rather than focusing only on rankings or technical errors, the audit examines factors that influence visibility, efficiency, and long-term performance. That includes SEO and non-SEO elements that affect how search performs in practice.
Each audit supports informed decisions about what deserves attention now, what can wait, and what may no longer be worth pursuing. It is prioritized based on business impact, effort required, and available resources.
Findings are delivered in a structured, actionable format that outlines the issue, why it matters, and what to do next.
Benefits of an SEO Audit
SEO Audit Sections
While SEO audits often begin with a similar framework, the outcomes vary widely across established organizations. That’s because scale, structure, and existing investment shape where risk and opportunity actually sit. A comprehensive SEO audit is tailored to the organization and may include the following areas.
Benchmark
Establishes a baseline for visibility and performance, showing how audiences discover and interact with the site across key entry points.
Content
Reviews how content supports search intent and visibility, identifying on-page updates and gaps that limit performance across pages.
Technical
Evaluates crawlability, indexation and site architecture to surface issues that restrict how search engines access and interpret the site at scale.
Authority
Assesses how external signals support visibility and trust, highlighting areas to strengthen authority in various competitive search environments.
CRO
Examines how visitors engage with key pages, identifying areas to improve flow and conversion without compromising usability.
Keywords
Analyzes how search demand aligns with core offerings, focusing on intent, opportunity, and competitive positioning rather than volume alone.

Once contracts are signed and access to analytics and other data tools have been granted, I’ll spend the next 3-4 weeks putting together your comprehensive SEO audit.

We’ll have a 90-minute meeting to review the SEO findings. It’s a great idea to include content writers, engineers, and the product and marketing teams.
Why Work With Me?
Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on a number of different factors, such as the size of the website and categories evaluated, but the investment for a typical comprehensive SEO audit costs between $5,500-$7,500.
It takes about 3-4 weeks for me to complete an SEO audit. It takes this amount of time because it takes a while to conduct a deep dive and really understand what’s going on under the hood to provide prioritized next steps.
Depending on a few factors, it may or may not make sense for us to work together. We can always jump on a quick call to learn about each other and decide if it’s a natural fit. If it’s not, I’m happy to provide recommendations for other SEO agencies or consultants that I believe would make the most sense for you.
I recommend at a minimum including content writers, developers, and the marketing team. I’ve presented SEO audits to corporations that have invited senior leadership, email marketers, engineers, and product designers. It wouldn’t hurt to ask more people to attend than fewer. It helps to give other departments an idea of the value of SEO.
